About A J Donovan

A J Donovan was born and raised in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear. She has a long-term, partner, one daughter and two grandsons. In her youth, she was a competitive Ice skater, Junior Champion in 1977, Senior Silver medallist in 1982, and International and World representative. She was an ice-skating coach, first at Bournemouth, then Peterborough before returning to her home town Sunderland, but was never completely happy.

She studied Biomedical Science at Sunderland University and graduated in 1999 with a 2:1 degree. She became a qualified Biomedical Scientist in 2001 and continues to practice in this field. In her childhood, she loved to write short stories in notebooks; however, life and work commitments took over, and her hobby took a back seat.

After a clear-out, she recently came across one of her old exercise books with some stories she had written over 40 years ago. She was inspired to start writing again and created an idea for the current story. This is her first romantic fiction novel, and she has an idea for a second book in the near future.
